I love St. Lucia day. In Sweden it is a big deal. Early in the morning flocks of children march around in white robes, and lots of candles. They sing chorals and hand out treats (ginger snaps and lussekatter). They visit schools, nursing homes, and hospitals. The prettiest girl almost always is chosen for lucia - it helps to have long blond hair. It is a wonderful day in midst of all the darkness. Thanks for sharing your lucia doll and those sweet trees...
