life : late today
Hi Everyone -
I hope you all had a very nice weekend! Ours was busy with level one spring cleaning and picture taking in Williamsburg (more on that to come). We also visited Scott's Mom who is getting some much needed rehab to improve her walking and his Dad who is getting a bit of a break. Scott's Dad is very independent and the apple of my eye (as well as all the senior citizen ladies in his building) - he's practically cleaning their entire apartment as Scott's Mom is quite the accumulator - while the cat's away the mice will play.
We also watched the movie Australia and we're still watching it! The movie never ends, although it seems like it's going to several times. Hugh Jackman is pleasing on the eyes, but we liked Out of Africa better.
So, I'm running very late in posting and visiting y'all. I'll get caught up and see you very soon. Happy Monday!
xo, Cindy
PS Scott chose the yellow daffodils & raspberry other flowers (name?). I didn't put them together at first, but now I kind of like 'em.
funny on the cat being away cleaning. i used to do that with my kids. the yellow and pink flowers are so nice together -- great contrast in color and texture. the pink ones almost look like some kind of poppy or ruffled tulip. i have shied away from australia. it is sooo long and i've been waiting for someone to say it was great. haven't heard those words yet.
ReplyDeletelooking forward to seeing you new photos from williamsburg.
looks lovely cindy! definitely have to check out Australia...
ReplyDeleteThe flower arrangement is pretty. I like the color combo.
ReplyDeletethe yellow and raspberry go beautifully together; that contrast was the first piece of the photo to catch my eye.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful vignette Cindy. I've been wondering about Australia. Is it worth seeing?
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday Cindy! Glad to hear you had a nice weekend, and I love the flower arrangement. The two colors are lovely together.
ReplyDeletethanks ladies! we didn't really love the movie, it was kind of long and i kept thinking i already saw many of the things in out of africa.
ReplyDeleteHello Cindy
ReplyDeleteI love the flowers, would probably never chosen them together ( i tend to be too matchy) but seeing them is amazing- what a wonderful choice!
I didn't like Australia because it was way to long- and more importantly unnessesarily so! honestly love your comparsion, since i live in africa- and it is rather a different corner ;) but after you mentioning it, yeah it had similar elements and we seen it there already ( not to forget that out of africa is based on an autobigraphical story!) Hugh was very very pleasing to the eye thought
sorry i haven't comment much last week had rather irritatinly long flu, looking forward to see those photos :)

I love those flowers together! i never would have thought of putting them together, they look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI didn't like Autralia, its way too long. And more importantly unnessicarily so!
