Creme de menthe? No, mouthwash!Hi Everyone -
I shouldn't be doing this, but it's green week over at
Shining Egg. I love green (nature's neutral) and thought I would do just a few. I got carried away, but there's green everywhere in our place. I had to force myself to stop. There's also a
Flickr group with lots of wonderful photos featuring green, too.
I'm going out now with a long to-do list : laundry, drugstore, supermarket and general wandering around. Happy Wednesday!
xo, Cindy
PS The Laura Ashley soap dish it the first gift Scott ever gave to me and the painting is from my college days. It's a copy of one of
Fairfield Porter's wonderful pieces.
Hi Friend.. Interesting post.. Nice cool blog.. Keep up the good work.. Do visit my blog and post your comments.. Take care mate.. Cheers!!!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing a group of photos with a consistent theme like green! Lovely images - they are all special on their own and great as a group too.
ReplyDeleteFun post. I LOVE green!
ReplyDeletelovely greens! such beautiful photos!!
ReplyDeleteI love green to i.e. lime, apple green, and chartreuse etc. Fun post! Hmmm.... I'm trying to think if my post has any green in it today. LOL...
ReplyDeleteMy goodness! What a lovely collection of green pretties you got here! Totally smitten with that Owl guy :D!
ReplyDeleteGreat green!!!!! Love it all:)
ReplyDeleteWow, fun photos! Did you use a lot of natural light on them?
ReplyDeleteHey thanks for the advice on my new camera. I do have a brand new tripod that I can use. Do you use the manual setting on your camera to get any different effects? I have a regular Nikon camera that was all manual, and I was so brave with that one,and did all kinds of things, but since this is a digital one, I'm a bit frightened that I'm going to mess it up or something.
I forgot to ask you if you bought the new U2 CD yet. It's growing on me, there are some immediate stand outs, and then there are ones that need more listening to. Let me know what you guys think.
ReplyDeleteI'm visiting from Elizabeth's blog...
ReplyDeleteAll these pictures are... stunning !
I'd like to know if you use Photoshop or paint Pro, and if you have a minute to help a new member to the SLR club, what are your advice to get that "crispy" white ?
Merci !
I love all of your color series! My favorite image is the green clip on the "notes"...it is so clean, refreshing, yet nostalgic.
ReplyDeletethanks everyone! working on projects like these are great ways to improve your photography skills even if you should be doing the laundry ;).
ReplyDeleteelizabeth & sierra moon - good luck with your new cameras. i wouldn't be afraid to play with the settings because you can always reset them or delete the pics. experimenting is really helpful.
i bought my first dslr in september and have a nikon d60. i love it - kind of small and lightweight. i always shoot on aperature with an iso of 100. i'll often adjust the white balance and exposure compensation to get a nice white light. i'm still learning and it's a challenge to get it just right. i've always used natural light.
i make minor adjustments and do some cropping in iphoto as i don't have photoshop on our new computer, yet. you can learn more about what i do for still lifes in this post, which includes a link to a great tutorial
