fun : a few favorites {3}
Toni Weber + Jamie Shelman
Toni's clothesline photo reminds me of my Mom and Jamie's cats are the cat's pajamas.
Inleaf
I won the lavender sachet in Lotta's giveaway and bought the zip purse using a $20 gift certificate.
3191 Prints
I carry the 3191 book around like it's a bible. I've even put a wax paper book cover on it to keep it safe and sound.
Hi Everyone -
This is the last group of favorites for the week. I hope you've all been as inspired by these talented ladies as me. When I started doing these posts many months ago, I asked Erin if she thought people would think I was 'bragging' by featuring some of the things we've collected. She said not at all and that it was a wonderful way to show support for the handmade community. I believed her as she is very wise and that was the intent. To highlight favorite artists in a very personal way.
Although I do have some favorite lotions and potions, I'm not one for expensive beauty treatments in a salon. Not that I don't need them or don't think they're wonderful. I just really don't enjoy people fussing over me in that way and prefer to have a photo or something handmade, instead.
We have no big plans for the weekend and that's fine with us. The sun might shine, so that alone will be a good start. Have fun!
xo, Cindy
PS : RIP Neda, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson. No matter how long you live, life is short and so precious. We know it.
I *heart* that 3191 morning book!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your favorites series, and I think it is wonderful how you share the beautiful handmade items that move and inspire you. The inleaf creations are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYour winnings sound good (and so does your weekend!). From the comment you left on my blog - the film came out blank?! That's odd - maybe the film got exposed through your camera or when it was being rolled up. I am more than happy to help with 35mm film - if I can! I'm still learning myself :)
ReplyDeleteYour treasures are fabulous! Thanks for the series. I enjoyed it. Have a golden weekend! xoxo
ReplyDeletewonderful feature- i love your favourites. love all the crafters and artists you featured, actually many of them i knew already and was very happy to be reminded of them again, and excited to find new increadibly talented artists. very inspiring and beautifully taken thank you cindy :D
ReplyDeletelove your favorites--you are a champion of celebrating the handmade! Thanks you from all makers so lucky to have such beautiful photos taken of the things errr...made! bon weekend sweet cindy!
ReplyDeleteLove this series of yours ... that top photo is just so lovely. Thanks for sharing + happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeletei'm with you - i don't like much fuss in a salon setting, and i admit to having a few bottles of philosophy around the house, too. have a great weekend, cindy!
ReplyDeleteLove this series!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the Lotta items you've got! Wish I would have known about that giveaway...
ReplyDeleteYour remark about the beauty salon treatment made me smile. I feel the exact same way and I feel the exact same way about working out at the gym. Though a bit of exercise probably wouldn't harm, I've tried going to the gym, but it doesn't relax me or make me feel better. I'd rather go for a walk armed with my camera or do something creative at home. And as to the money, me too, I prefer to spend it on something really nice...
Gorgeous photographs by the way!!
Oh what treasures and your photographs make them even more special. Hope you had a lovely weekend.

I LOVE this post. I *so* enjoy trips to your blog, reading about what makes you happy-- ESPECIALLY handmade happy. Also, your idea about wax paper to protect book covers is genius. Must try that. *)
