scott's family loves to play
crazy eights. mine goes along to be polite and because we have no other suggestions for fun ;). often, charlie wins with a lot of bravado. the object of the game is to get rid of all your cards. when someone plays a two the next player is supposed to pick up two cards, unless they have a two. well, charlie started it and it ended with him. he had to pick up 8 cards! it was historic and i have the photo to prove it. he won anyway. so close. thankfully, scott won a hand. he loves to win, too. hope you had a good weekend!
xo, cindy
ps last week, charlie also received a very sweet card from an equally
sweet girl. thank you, j!
I loved this!!! I bet I would adore Charlie and we'd get along famously! Great post!
ReplyDeletei bet you would, too!

ReplyDeleteoh, card games can be so much fun. but if you are part of two very competitive families, it can be very intense... Hope Charlie is doing well (and you too).

ReplyDeleteVery nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm not good at playing cards, though I think it's fun. The kids love to play a game called "boer lap". They play it whenever we go visit their grandparents. We should play games like that more often - so much better than watching TV...
He still WON? Wow, incredible! What a card giant!
ReplyDeleteLove this photo and the memories that come along with card playing. One of my very favorite activities as well.
ReplyDeleteit's nice to see so many of you play cards. we'd love to learn cribbage and even have the board!
