two views : create
band : smooth & sweet kings of convenience
i started the shutter sisters 365 day project on december 24th, so when i finish it will be like a present for myself. i'm really excited about it! the objective is to take at least one photo a day for a year and you can start anytime. you don't have to post each one (thank goodness), but the practice and discipline from a project like this should improve my skills.
i hope i can do things a little bit more quickly and this will tie into the two views diptychs i've been working on (previously known as dawn & dusk, which was too restrictive). i'm also hoping to capture evening lighting better. people are always saying 'use only natural light in your photography,' but that's not always available and my life doesn't end at sunset.
what about you this year? any creative projects or goals for 2010?
xo, cindy

Beautiful photos! I'm going to continue to try to capture the beauty I see behind the lens. Take some photo classes, maybe try to paint on some porcelain and simply to continue and enjoy the beauty around me. xo
Lovely pictures, Cindy! And a nice way to start the year!
I might have a go at the 365 project too and I have a couple more things in mind I'd like to accomplish in 2010. I'd better get started...
Wishing you and your family a wonderful and healthy 2010!
looking forward to seeing your photos Cindy. You are off to a great start! Happy New Year!
Happy New Year sweet lady...love the shutter project and am looking forward to seeing your pics...these 2 are wonderful!
I NEED to make my paitnings more profitable...and bring in more income for the family...so I am about to start a painting a day...and sell them for $50 each(rather than $110)...I will list them daily and hope I can gain some excitement from it.
What do you think?
I'll be posting about it soon and starting in a couple of weeks.

that's a great idea!
i'm going to print, print, print this year- and hopefully sell some :)
Is there anything better than a collection of perfectly sharpened color pencils? Ahhh! I SO look forward to keeping up with your photos this year. Best wishes in 2010!
Adorable bouquet of pencils! A great interior decoration item.
I love this and can't wait to see what you come up with...Happy 2010!
i love colored pencils! i look forward to seeing what you have in store for 2010...as for me, i look forward to blogging again and about a million other things too ;)
This looks like fireworks in a vase! Love all those colors, and they are just itching to be used. 365 Days sounds like a great project! This year, I'd like to learn Illustrator and Photoshop for realz.
this is so cool love these two shots!!!
i had never wanted to eat colored pencils until i saw this picture!
me too! i´ll keep you posted.
First, I really like this diptych!
My creative project for the year is continual inner peace. Creative, you ask? Mais oui! I shall have to go to all kinds of 'MacGyver' ingenuity...history has taught me this! ;)
Love, love, love the colored pencils!!! They remind me of my crayon pics. I love the clarity you get in your photos. And I am *so there* with the 365 project - just joined the flickr group so I'll see you there my friend!
loves xoxo
love these colorful pencils! hoping to hone my photography skills this year, generally! as always, inspired by yours!
beautiful cindy! love those pencils.
i'm happy you broadened your dawn and dusk project. although those are indeed lovely times of the day.....alot of good things happen in between! looking forward to keeping up with you this year. let us know how your 365 project goes. discipline, even creatively, is a good thing.
What lovely photos! I was doing a similar photography project last year with a friend, and it's definitely intimidating to post each and every photo. Some days you just feel uninspired. Looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful photos from the 365 day project! Happy 2010! XO.
i will live vicariously through you and all your creativeness and determination. this is such a lovely way to start your project. xo t
I love the pencils! Such beautiful colors. :)
what a great present to yourself! and love the pencils (and i love pink too : ).
Ooh yes, I'm excited you've started as I love seeing through your talented eyes!! Hmmm... I'm going to make the next Spoonful (www.spoonfulzine.com) and spread the word to try to keep the project going! It's a challenge, but I'm excited!
Thanks for visiting my blog too by the way, & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
