Ironing
Peach Roses

i don't know why, but we sure have a lot of laundry for two people, which leads to a lot of ironing. my mother loved to iron. i don't mind it, but don't love it, either. the result is the best part. the process - eh.

we visited the new extension to the high line this weekend and i'll have some photos coming up later in the week, including a marriage proposal. have a good one!

xo, cindy

ps yesterday, i received an email from rachael of the beautiful blog made from scratch regarding a feature on our shop, which was exciting. based out of new zealand, she compiles the most wonderful finds with lovely mosaics to go with them. thank you, rachael!

i hate ironing! I hate it. thank god my husband knows how and sometimes irons for me. :) That's his only house chore he knows how to do. I still wonder if he knows how to turn on the stove.

i love that your husband does the ironing. scott is obsessive with creases in his pants. when we were first married, he would iron the pants and i would do the shirts/blouses.

now, i don't care if my pants are creaseless, but i still iron his shirts. it gets me out of doing dishes & i can watch tv at the same time, although that kind of prolongs the task quite a bit as i often stop.

Luckily, the boy steams clothes for us. I'm horrible at ironing, it would take me 20 minutes to do a shirt!
The roses are gorgeous, such a summery color.

These pictures are pretty and cheerful!

Something about ironing feels quite therapeutic and relaxing to me. Also, the end result is always productive and useful. Maybe I'll catch up on some ironing tonight!

First time viewer of your blog here, and I must say, the colors in your photos are great. I really love how the right objects seem to pop.

That is to say, you make ironing look good ;)

I am going to try and learn to love ironing. I saw a pile of beautifully ironed linens at my mom's house and she was beaming with pride about them. She loves to iron. One of these days I will too. Love these photos.

Cindy! *LOVE* everything about those 2 photos! The lighting is exquisite, the styling of course... even your ironing board cover! But those ROSES!!! In that lovely vase! Seriously, could they be any more glorious or perfect?!

I have a love/hate relationship with ironing. I didn't even get a "real" iron until I was forced to iron my oldest's graduation gown! LOL!
