trip : the berkshires

she spots them way up high
just out of his long reach
they continue on and find plenty

Hi All -

Thank you so much for the Happy Anniversary wishes! Although we were 'thisclose' from missing the beautiful fall foliage, we managed to sneak it in just under the wire and ahead of the snow that was in the forecast for this week. Most of these photos were taken between Williamstown, MA (northern Berkshires) and Pownal, VT.

This looks like a very relaxing, beautiful trip. One day I will get out to the east to see the fall leaves, it is just one of those things you have to do before you die!I love all the photos of the apples :)
On a side note: I wonder how many statues Degas did of that ballerina? I've seen one at the Met in NY, and at the Orsay in Paris.

thanks everyone! i had a few issues with my camera, but if i take enough pictures i usually get some out of it ;).

laura - very nice format ;).
krissy - even a light dusting of snow isn't welcome, yet.
aimee - there are three groups of those sculptures and it's neat to see the kids playing on them.
elizabeth - and, one day we'll get to san francisco! i don't know about the statues, but you are so lucky to have lived in france.

Happy Belated Anniversary to you both!

I love all the photos. Our seasons are kind of blah here in California, and I've always wanted to see what Vermont is like in the fall. Thank you so much for sharing them! :)

thanks ladies! i'm so happy you like the photos. the moon was an accident - aren't they the best? i leaned down to take a picture of the frozen dew and when i looked up there was the 'man in the moon' trying to catch some rays.
