W O R D
W O R D

hello, hello! the handmade community is not short of wonderful artists who are blessed with a perfect combination of talent in art & business. i first connected with jen of painted fish studio through aimee's blog artsyville and couldn't be happier. i've been lucky to meet jen in person a few times during her visits to new york and she really gets me thinking about the possibilities.

jen's wonderful handmade prints, journals, cards and magnets are available in her shop (sale this week) and she has just self-published a book of polaroids from her two-year collaboration with another fabulous jen of scissors paper glue. the book is called W O R D and available through their site and amazon.

now, the good news for you guys is that the jens have offered a copy to give away right here and you will love this book. just leave a comment telling us your favorite color before 12.4.10 and we'll announce one winner on saturday (be sure to include an email address so we can contact you). good luck!

xo, cindy

ps it's not about me, but you'll see one of my butterfly garlands in the book ;)! how cool is that? word.

How exciting - publishing a book!

I'm all about red - there is just something about that bright flash of color

Yay! I love Jen and her polaroids... Couldn't be happier for their book release!

Let's see... yellow is my favorite, but gray is so close :)

Your butterfly garland is everywhere! I use it to hang pretty prints in my pressroom.

I'd love to own a copy of this book!
My favorite color changes with the mood I'm in, I guess. I like different shades of gray, subdued colors in general, but sometimes I like to add a little splash of color like red or yellow, grass green, orange, ... it just depends on the day...

Wow, what a cool book! And congrats that your lovely butterfly garland is in there too! How fun is that!

Well you *know* asking my fave color is absolutely impossible for me to answer! Because I love just about ALL of them! Okay, except purple. But if I must......

Pink... turquoise... red... yellow. That's the best I can do to narrow them down! LOL! :)

Love you girl! xoxo

Congrats on having your own little butterflies in there! I too have gotten a chance to enjoy Jen's work (never met and I'm mostly a lurker) via discovery through Aimee at Artsyville. Fact is, I'd say the vast majority of my connections here in artsy crafty cyber land either came from Artsyville or are fellow fans of her delicious doodles :) As for Jen's book, I'm fascinated with polaroids and would LOVE a copy of my very own! So to answer your question, my favorite color is cerulean blue.

Gald to find another great place to visit.

Oh WOW, so exciting! And YAY to the gorgeous butterfly garland!

As for me, I love orange. Not quite as flashy as red, but warm and glowy.
