fun : catch a wave in town

main beach, east hampton

hope you caught a wave or two of sorts this weekend! this lucky lifeguard did and has a little fan, already. after creating our expanding nyc guide we used it and went to soho with no camera! there was lunch for scott at dean & deluca, a hot fudge sundae for lunch me from van leeuwen, visits to some lovely shops - purl (gift certificate!) and makie (wonderful handmade clothes), and sitting in the park next to a tiny pool for kids on thompson street. we also saw (500) days of summer and loved it. the song sweet disposition from the temper trap on the soundtrack is great. how was your weekend? hope it was sweet.

xo, cindy

How could YOU go anywhere without a camera!!! I'm disappointed there won't be pics of SOHO, but loved reading about more of your adventures.

well, i had a disposable camera which is taking forever to fill up and not going to do this post any good. i just wanted us to have a 'free' day, but i won't make the mistake, again. i'll just have to go back a do it all over. oh, the sacrifices ;).

What a charming summer weekend! I had a lovely weekend at the beach as well -- although no surfing during pregnancy! ;)

I love that Dean and Deluca's in SoHo- this time last year we were melting in NYC and spent most the summer by the Hudson reading Moby Dick and cooling off!
Waiting for Julie and Julia to come out this weekend!

it must have been nice to spend a relaxing day without your camera in tow. i'm sure that at least one or twice you thought oh i wish i had my camera, though. it is a true photographer who sees a photo in the making every which way she turns.

I chuckled about the camera. I thought I was the only one that gets excited about going somewhere and forgets the camera. Yummm... a hot fudge sundae for breakfast, lunch or dinner would be perfect for me. xoxo
