pics : rock collector

hope you all had a nice weekend! we had one stormy day and one unseasonably warm one, yesterday. it was divine. i don't usually photograph other people's kids, but this cutie by the brooklyn bridge was irresistible. andy goldsworthy would be proud. i wish i would have photographed those rocks from the side, though. oh well, i guess i'll have to go back and try it myself if they're gone. hope they're not.

it's we love brooklyn week here on quaint so get ready for some sights and yums. happy monday!

xo, cindy

ps oh, and here's a beautiful song and video to go with it from the avett brothers called i and love and you. it's a beauty and dedicated to our lovely readers.

He's a cutie! We had a gorgeous weekend too!

In answer to your question: Chef Stu is real and Chef Stu is a chef...even having taken classes as the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park....(we both lived in Poughkeepsie once upon a time)...however, he is a retired IBMer....
He is verrrrrrrrrrry popular among the eating set!

oh, thank you pj! you are so lucky! chef stu would be popular with this eating set, too ;). i have the coolest ibm 'think' sign from 1961 with the name frank chu on the back. it was kind of expensive, but i love that sign.

How charming! I really like the mossy-ish rocks in the background, and the picture on the right is very beautifully wabi-sabi.

I look forward to enjoying Brooklyn week!

I loooooove that new Avett bros song. I listened to it 14x on repeat a few weeks ago. *Almost* ODd on it, but still love to catch it on the radio. :)

Oh that's just precious :) I have really been missing my kids when they were little lately. My oldest boy used to line things up meticulously just like this little guy - so adorable :)

it looks like the little guy (or gal?) was having such fun with those rocks. i love to photograph kids but it is an awkward issue. i will occasionally ask permission and moms usually say yes. i must not look like too much of a looney tunes. hee hee
