garden : last of the cherries

Blossoms in the Grass
Petals in the Pool
song : stop for a minute by k'naan & keane

hello! although we seem to be experiencing a prolonged spring, it has come with some extreme weather. this weekend we went to the beach and it was really cold and windy leaving downed trees and branches strewn everywhere, plus power outages. but, it was nothing compared to the devastating tornadoes in oklahoma and flooding in tennessee. have you heard about tennessee? it hasn't been mentioned much in the media. these seem to be the last of the cherry blossoms this year and looked so pretty in the pool. see you later in the the week.

xo, cindy

Gosh, I saw a bunch of pictures of Tennessee and it's AWFUL!

I think the whole east coast had that wind over the weekend. Yowza!

The end of the cherry blossoms always makes me a little sad - spring is my favorite season and I hate to see it disappearing.

We are experiencing the same over here in Nor Cal! By now we usually have all winter things packed away, but it has been unseasonably cold and raining a lot here. This Monday, there is more rain coming our way. I don't mind though, since we never seem to have a real spring.

oh, WOW! i mean WOW! at first glance that second picture looks like such a departure from your style, but the upper half of the photo is classic quaint handmade. super cool twist on your traditional style - i am in love with that one!

Oh, yes, such devastation in Ok and Tn. Seems so awful already this year, disaster-wise.

I love cherry blossom petals floating in water. I'm sure it's a pool man's headache, but I love it.

The images are incredible, Cindy!

I've been reading Anna Maria Horner's blog and it's just been horrifying to hear about TN!
