life : movies + home

red tulips closed & tight : bring them indoors : see their sunny centers

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a nice weekend! We saw Quantum of Solace and it was very good, although Scott still prefers Sean Connery. He thinks his James Bond movies were more intriguing, sexy and stylish. I think he's right, but got a little bit nervous when he started to go on about the clothes (scuba gear - that's not what I had originally, but Scott insisted that I change it - doh!). According to him, Thunderball is the best in that regard.

Here's a breakdown of Quantum of Solace: action sequence, some talking, action sequence, a pretty girl, action sequence, pretty girl #2, action sequence, etc. You get the picture, but the action sequences were pretty cool and Daniel Craig is mighty fine. Personally, I liked RockNRolla better and can't wait to see it, again.

Other than that we were pretty boring with some much needed housework and such. I did buy you some tulips, which opened almost completely once we brought them inside to our warm apartment.

What did you do this weekend?

xo, Cindy

Beautiful picture! I did a little housework also but made a couple of collages as well:) We got some snow in Ohio so it finally felt wintery out!

we saw the new Bond, too...I caught myself with my jaw hanging open about 10 minutes into it. hahaha, that first action scene really got me.
I would say that I enjoyed this one, but liked Casino Royale better.
& would you believe that I've never seen any of the others?! awful, I know.

oh boy, you guys make me feel like a million bucks after a horrendous day in the office!

laura - the action sequences are really incredible. there's one in this glass tower with scaffolding, ropes, breaking glass, guns, etc. that is stunning. no wonder why people were getting hurt during the filming. and, you really need to see some old ones. they're a little bit corny, but still very stylish and cool.

aimee - thank you, thank you, thank you - i was on the fence about it for real.

ha! you're like me with action movies. but i agree that daniel craig is quite dreamy. :) maybe i'll take ryan on a date-- he loves james bond movies!

I'm with Scott on this one. Sean Connery is THE only James Bond for me!!! Peirce Brosnan is a close second. I'm not into blond men, so Daniel Craig does nothing for me.
We missed out on going to the movies this weekend, mainly because I wanted to see "Boy In The Striped Pajamas," BUT Caitlin wanted to go too,and she was at a punk rock club in Berkeley on our normal movie night. The punk club she went to was the one where Green Day got their start.
Thanks for the compliment on my new photo, my darling Caitlin took it.

i read in the paper today, that daniel craig walked into a restaurant in the city and the women squealed ;).

Dear Scott,

Just because you find Mr. Connery sexy doesn't make you gay. Don't worry, we weren't even thinking it. ;)

i think you are too funny, erin!

Daniel Craig is on a billboard for a watch right near my home. I am thinking of making a camp so I can stare at it for days.

I don't even remember what the other Bonds were like anymore. Pfft. Gone from my memory.

I'm with Scott, too. Sean Connery is my hands-down 007 favorite any day (I'm a sucker for that Scottish accent).

Hope you are good. Still swamped here but just wanted to check in and say hello. XO
