life : can do

Can Do
song : every time you say goodbye by alison krauss
seriously love this song, although it has nothing to do with this post!

last week, i picked up i think i can by partners & spade in anthropologie. it features photos of plants growing through the cracks of concrete, bricks, etc., so i found one myself. i purchased the book because i don't always think i can, so any type of inspiration is encouraging. it might sound cliche, but if a tiny plant can make it here, well, you know how the rest goes. enjoy your weekend. i think you can!

xo, cindy

ps has anyone bought an ipad? i'm really tempted to tap into my rainy day fund if i can justify the spend. our laptop is ancient and i'd love to be able to look at our photos while traveling, which we don't do that much unless you include moving from the computer to the sofa ;).

Every day is better with a bit of Alison Krauss in it!

I'm seriously lusting after the iPad, but have decided to hold off until the next version - betting that Apple will also drop the price. If you end up making the purchase, please report in, I'm dying of curiosity.

That book sounds fabulous - looking forward to seeing more pictures of plants growing in concrete.

And I really like my ipod touch, so I'm thinking the ipad is basically a giant ipod, so it should be equally as awesome. And it would be pretty nice to bring your photos around with you when you travel.

it's happened to me a few times, jamie. i wait and wait and wait. then buy and almost immediately the price drops - ugh! maybe i won't wait because the price drop could take a while, although i do prefer to get the second version of these new toys.

the ipod touch looks great and i love the iphone, but won't go for the monthly plan as i really don't like to talk on the phone and the monthly plan seems expensive!

I loved your photo and your post Cindy! I've been a bit pathetic this week, so I needed it! Thank you! And is that happy tape or tape swell I see? It's adorable :)

Have an awesome weekend my friend! xoxo

P.S. I don't have an iPad, but for all the complaining people were doing when it was revealed... everyone seems to be going nutsy cuckoo over it now! It does look very cool!

I love that song by Alison Krauss! That book sounds just lovely! So nice to have inspiration around!

My husband bought an ipad and is in total LOVE with it. He doesn't even use his laptop anymore for work, he does it all on the ipad now! You would love it:)

What a great concept! You KNOW you can.

My friend received her iPad while I was visiting her. It seemed very cool and fast. I think it would be a fun and nifty laptop alternative, if you don't have to do a lot of lengthy typing.

I think I'd rather buy a laptop - I've been using my husband's Mac a lot lately - I'm not really an Apple fan (sorry!) but I do like being able to carry around my computer and sit down wherever I want. However, I recently bought yet another camera so I might wait for a little while longer before I get myself that laptop...

Oh, and by the way: Yes, you can, Cindy!!

i love this notion of sprouts seeking egress through the cracks! it reminds me of the oddball tulips, daffodils and wild onions that continue to surface in our front yard even though we dug it up and relandscaped it entirely a few years ago. some things will just find a way. beautiful photo and 'i think i can' collection!

a co-worker bought an ipad and most of us mac users were a bit disappointed in it. it does not have a usb port on it and you have to have a mac to load things onto it, etc. i'm going to wait until they work all the kinks out before considering to buy one.
