studies in white

[Out the front window through lace]

A couple of weeks ago I started to work my way through the color wheel with studies in
red and green. I also worked on some things for Martha's s t i l l project and loved how she focused on the light or lack of light - shadows. So, I'm going to step off of the color wheel and work on the most challenging project so far - white. I mean there is no place to hide - no bursts of color to make the photo interesting. I think this could take a while. Here goes -

Sounds like an interesting project - great white results. I would love to see them all together when you are finished - all the colors.

How soothing. I loved them all, but the first one is my absolute fave! I'm just dying to know what's on the other side of that lovely iron fence. ;)

oh boy, thank you so much! it definitely becomes more about texture and light when you limit color.

suzanne - the most wonderful elderly couple live on the other side of the fence. they don't speak too much english and we don't speak chinese, but it doesn't matter!
