We have a special announcement about our studio/guest room, which is featured on the wonderful Modish blog today in the Handmade Spaces section. We got chills when we saw it. Thank you so much Jena!
She: "Purl Patchwork is a store we both love, but for different reasons."
He: "I like how they remember us when we go there, or if I call to buy you a gift certificate."
She: "Me, too. It is the nicest shop in every way and so pretty."
He: "Plus, you can get a lot for about $10 - 4 quarter yards of 4 different fabrics."
She: "Very good. It's also special because I took my first quilting class there a few months after my Mom passed away. I was very sad, but made the happiest looking quilt. And, I finished it."
He: "She would have been proud of you."
She: "Yeah. We liked to make things and watch shows where people did the same. I miss that."

We are joining in with Allsorts for a Post A Day In May by coming up with things we both love from Steve McQueen to Pickles. So, here goes -
He: "First up is Steve McQueen."
She: "He was so handsome and macho - hubba hubba."
He: "Calm down. He was an American original and totally authentic."
She: "Whenever we watch him, we feel cool. Except for the Magnificent Seven when he wore a neck scarf. That was distracting."
He: "Bullitt is my favorite - vrooom, vrooom."
She: "There's a blooper in that car chase scene through San Francisco you know?"
He: "Who cares, it's awesome when those bad guys blow up and the Mustang is so cool."
She: "Agreed. Cars don't sound like that anymore."

She: "Hey, Jenny who writes the wonderful Allsorts blog has started a Post A Day In May to rev up her creative mojo. Remember, I was complaining about that very thing the other day?"
He: "Do I? What do we have to do?"
She: "Each day we create a new posting."
He: "Hmmm ... that sounds hard. Assuming we're amusing at all, I don't know about every day. Can you do it since you're the blogmeister and creative genius?"
She: "Aww shucks - you're so nice to me. I think so. I have an idea for what we can do and have the first one started."
He: "Ok, I'm in - watcha got?"

He: "Don't even think about it!"
She: "I can't believe you did that! I'm going to write about it."
He: "No you're not!"
She: "Yes I am. Watch me type - He: ..."
He: "Hold it right there - I've got this coupon you gave to me."
She: "Already?"
He: "Yep, let me remind you what it says ..."
She: [Drat! I should have never given him those coupons, but it was the only way I could convince him to go along with this "adventure".]
He: "My Lips Are Sealed : This "incident" will be kept private in order to avoid further humiliation."
She: "Well ok, but you only have 11 more, so make sure you want to use it now."
He: "I'm sure."
She: "Actually, family and friends of someone who decides they're going to share personal stories with the rest of the world on a blog should demand something like those coupons. You wouldn't believe what people write about and photograph."
He: "Like the shower head?"
She: "Dude, you ain't seen nothing yet!"

She: "Oh man. Except for the laundry and ironing I did, I've been so useless the last few days."
He: "How come?"
She: "I don't know, I've lost my mojo. And, I've been obsessive about writing this blog for you, me and Erin (hahaha)! Plus, I've been spending a lot of time reading other people's blogs. It's addictive."
He: "Didn't you get that whatchamacallit to help sort that stuff out?"
She: "Google Reader. Yes, it helps, but it's kind of like the blog mafia. Once you think you're current, there's another updated blog in the folder."
He: "As long as you're not spending too many $$."
She: "Well, one leads to the other."
He: "Uh oh. Slowly put the mouse down and step away from the computer."
She: "You didn't read me my rights."
He: "Ok, you asked for it: you have the right to remain silent [yes!], ..."
She: "What about my phone call?"
He: "Ok."
She: "Gotta quarter? I'm tapped out."
He: "Anything you say may be used against you in a court of law [mine, yes again!]."Photo Credit : Handcuffs.Org, yep it's for real, and no, we won't say why
we know about it
