He: "Well, this is the last one for the Post A Day In May and we saved the best for last."
She: "Of course, we love each other." [Awww]
He: "Best friends." [Double Awww]
She: "We didn't actually finish our Things We Love list, so we'll keep it going in June."
He: "But, not every day. I don't know who's happier about that - us or them?
She: "I don't know, I'm pretty happy! Although we missed some of the weekends and didn't stick with the format, it was a heck of a way to start a blog. Plus, I was almost denied computer privileges because I was online too much."
He: "You're still on thin ice and it's not because of this blog, but the other "surfing" you've been doing. [gives stink eye] We also want to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has left a comment, or just stopped by our neck of the woods."
She: "Really. It means so much to us to have some visitors. When we started this adventure we said we were doing it just for us as an online journal, but that didn't last too long. Thank you very much Google Analytics [gives stink eye]!"
He: "We better go out and do something so you can have more material - hahaha."
She: "Word! Have a great weekend!"

She: "We love music and it's hard to believe from our playlists that you are only 3 years older than me."
He: "Music, like fine wine, improves with age."
She: "Old music, like fine wine, puts me to sleep."
He: "Come on, you don't like Bruce or James?"
She: "They're ok, but I like new music better. You know, from people who don't have AARP cards?"
He: "Hey, don't mess with The Boss!
She: [I don't know who he's talking about as I'm "The Boss" in this house.]
He: "Your music is ok, but you play the same band over and over and over."
She: "I agree I have a problem as it gets to a point where even I don't hear it anymore, like elevator music. So, then I switch to a new band."
He: "And the cycle continues. You should have been a dj."
She: "Yeah, but what would my name be - Spinderella is already taken as are Cinderella, Nutella?"
He: [Too bad about that last one.]
She: "Hmmm ... got it ... Tun-ella!"
He: [Reminds me of Tunafish, but I won't say anything.]

She: "When we started dating you + your family were collectors and thought I should collect something, too."
He: "You started with hat pins, which led to pins, linens, china, etc. The list never ends."
She: "Well, my goal when we got married many moons ago was to furnish our apartment with everything vintage."
He: "We didn't realize at the time that we were being eco-friendly."
She: "True. It's taken a long time to create a cozy, shabby chic/beach house-style. But, there's a problem."
He: "What?"
She: "I really love (cringe) mid-century modern, now."
He: "Great, just as I'm getting used to all of this white and flowers, you want to change it!"
She: "It's your fault!"
He: "How so?"
She: "You got me started as a collector."
He: "Sure, blame the victim."

Note: That trapped white space to the right of the image is killing me! I haven't been able to size it so it lines up with the right side of the text - ugh!
Beach Bunny: "We love surfing, but in the interest of full disclosure, we don't do it."
Kahuna: "Actually, we have experienced the "washing machine spin-cycle" in the ocean from mere ankle busters."
Beach Bunny: "Yeah, total wipe outs!"
Kahuna: "But, we think surf-style and extreme surfers like Greg Noll and Laird Hamilton are really cool."
Beach Bunny: "Some of our favorite surfing movies include: Endless Summer, Riding Giants and Step Into Liquid."
Kahuna: "Skateboarding looks rad, too. I was stoked about the Rob + Big episode where Rob broke all of those world records."
She: "I think I could skateboard."
Kahuna: "That's bogus, you're osteopenic and might break a hip!"
Beach Bunny: "Bummer, maybe they have training wheels, or a baby walker for skateboarding?"
Kahuna: "I think you've got the "walker" part right!"
+++++++++++++++++++++
He: "We might have gone over the top with this one and not in a good way."
She: "I think we might get kicked off the Internet."
He: "Can they do that, whoever "they" are?"
She: "I don't know; there's always a first time."
He: "Well, we can't promise that it won't happen again. Cindy just started muttering something about Lucha Libre with a crazy look in her eye. Stay tuned."
Note: Most of the surfing slang came from here.

He: "We love Italian food!"
She: "You love all food, but Italian is a favorite. You eat it a lot."
He: "Our favorite restaurant in NYC is in Coney Island - La Casa Bella!"
She: "It is excellent - they use fresh mozzarella and basil on the pizza. You bring it home for me since you work near there."
He: "Another favorite is in Sag Harbor - Il Capuccino! It's delicious and very home-style."
She: "You sure are excited. It must be because you have a special birthday today and hope to go to Il Capuccino for dinner."
He: "Yeah, yeah - can we go?"
She: "Of course, but watch the spices."
He: "Right, no crop dusting. Do you think other people know what that means - hahaha?"
She: "I don't know, but I do and that's all that matters. Happy Birthday Cutie!"
He: "Hey, we said no pet names!"
She: I know, it slipped."

She: "We love flowers, but I think I've brainwashed you over the years."
He: "How so?"
She: "I'm not complaining, but you seem very proud of your color choices and picking out the flowers. I'm not sure they're for me anymore!"
He: "Well, I do seem to have a knack for picking out bold color combinations and flowers that last more than a day. Many florists are men you know?"
She: "True."
He: "I only start to cringe when you cut long-stem flowers down to 6"."
She: "I like small bouquets, and once you give them to me they're mine, so there."
He: "Just kidding, your arrangements always look nice + they don't block the tv."

He: "To say we love vintage cars from the 1960s + 70s is an understatement."
She: "That's for sure. Remember how stressed out we got when we were fantasizing about winning the $4 million lottery?"
He: "Yes, it wasn't going to be enough for all the cars we wanted!"
She: "When I grew up my Father was always buying and selling cars, so I got used to seeing lots of them. I had a 1970-something Gold Duster with 8-cylinders and it had a lot of power."
He: "Yeah, you know quite a bit for a girl."
She: "Darn tootin'!"
Photo Credit : Ad Classix, isn't that ad so cool?
She: "Purl Patchwork is a store we both love, but for different reasons."
He: "I like how they remember us when we go there, or if I call to buy you a gift certificate."
She: "Me, too. It is the nicest shop in every way and so pretty."
He: "Plus, you can get a lot for about $10 - 4 quarter yards of 4 different fabrics."
She: "Very good. It's also special because I took my first quilting class there a few months after my Mom passed away. I was very sad, but made the happiest looking quilt. And, I finished it."
He: "She would have been proud of you."
She: "Yeah. We liked to make things and watch shows where people did the same. I miss that."

We are joining in with Allsorts for a Post A Day In May by coming up with things we both love from Steve McQueen to Pickles. So, here goes -
He: "First up is Steve McQueen."
She: "He was so handsome and macho - hubba hubba."
He: "Calm down. He was an American original and totally authentic."
She: "Whenever we watch him, we feel cool. Except for the Magnificent Seven when he wore a neck scarf. That was distracting."
He: "Bullitt is my favorite - vrooom, vrooom."
She: "There's a blooper in that car chase scene through San Francisco you know?"
He: "Who cares, it's awesome when those bad guys blow up and the Mustang is so cool."
She: "Agreed. Cars don't sound like that anymore."

She: "Hey, Jenny who writes the wonderful Allsorts blog has started a Post A Day In May to rev up her creative mojo. Remember, I was complaining about that very thing the other day?"
He: "Do I? What do we have to do?"
She: "Each day we create a new posting."
He: "Hmmm ... that sounds hard. Assuming we're amusing at all, I don't know about every day. Can you do it since you're the blogmeister and creative genius?"
She: "Aww shucks - you're so nice to me. I think so. I have an idea for what we can do and have the first one started."
He: "Ok, I'm in - watcha got?"
